Salary of up to £25,728.00 with an additional 10% shift allowance

We have a diverse range of buildings utilising both old and modern technologies including fire and security systems, ground sourced heat pumps, solar energy, Combined Heat & Power and rainwater harvesting.
The maintenance team plays a key part in delivering a quality service to meet staff and student expectations within the Higher Education sector, we are continuously adapting to new designs and technologies and seek an experienced, highly resourceful, flexible and enthusiastic person to join our team of five electricians. You will be responsible for delivering a range of planned and reactive maintenance as well as upgrade and new installation project work to meet the challenging and demanding needs of a university environment.
We work a 37hr a week shift system, Monday to Friday covering 07.30 to 16.00 or 09:30 to 18:00 on a rotational basis, both shifts finish 30 minutes earlier on Fridays. The shift attracts a shift premium of 10% to your salary.
In addition to the basic salary there is a call out rota of approx. 1 in 9 weeks, attracting a stand by allowance of £150.00 per week, call outs are a minimum of 3 hours @ 1.5 x hourly rate for weekdays and Saturday, Sundays and Bank holidays are 2x the hourly rate.
