Financial Supervisor Permanent post based in Edinburgh 25 hours per week, including weekends on a rota Starting salary £21k pro-rata For over 30 years Gorgie City Farm has operated as a successful community-owned initiative based in the west of Edinburgh. We’re a working farm and visitor attraction aiming to bring the sights, sounds, and smells of farming into the city through our wide range of animals and plants. As part of this we aim to educate children and adults about farming and food production, and promote social inclusion by providing a host of volunteering opportunities, often for those with disabilities or problematic backgrounds. As part of the next stage of our development we’ve created the post of Financial Supervisor to join our team. Working directly to the Chief Executive you’ll have responsibility for all operational parts of our finance systems, from processing invoices and weekly bank reconciliations to working with our Chief Executive in preparing and managing budgets. You’ll also be providing financial information to our senior management team and Board of Trustees on an on-going basis, and managing intercompany transactions between the charity and trading company to ensure we’re in line with VAT regulations.
