An Analyst Job In Nottingham Paying Between £11 & £13 per Hour.

Your new company

You will be working with a global, market leading and pioneering engineering organisation who provide innovative solutions to help tackle the UK's major challenges. They have a significant presence throughout the UK, with 13 manufacturing sites and more than 25 major offices.

Your new role

You will assume the responsibility of providing the Operations business with an accurate cost control & billing. You will process and analyse significant volumes of job level data to ensure that the business can accurately report the volume and value of work at the various stages of the invoicing life-cycle. The role is similarly responsible for the collation and automation of MI (management information) to report both the current and the month-on-month changes to the volume and value at each of the stages. Your tasks may include but will not be limited to - check, collate and summarise the monthly summaries of forecasted completed work, implement quality control checks on all invoice files going to customers; ensure they're correct with no anomalies, maintain a rolling tracker of all work that has not been invoiced, ensure this tracker remains valid and that the contents are all priced correctly as the results from each constituent job changes, maintain a rolling tracker of all work that has been invoiced and disputed, analyse and resolve some invoice disputes by cross checking data with our business partners, create clear and concise MI to report the volume and value of the work at the various points in the invoicing lifecycle and other duties.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be an Excel Expert with previous success in maintaining and organising data. In particular 'Look-up' formulae, IF AND & OR functions and Pivot tables. You will ideally have experience within a Meter Operations environment but this is not essential, experience of analysing large volumes of data and creating appropriate summaries with trend analysis is essential and again ideally you will have experience of updating, maintaining and interrogating large data sets using Excel formulae listed above.

What you'll get in return

You will get the opportunity to work with a dynamic, hard-working and like-minded team of individuals and you will be joining the business during a really exciting period of change. The business is undergoing a period of growth and are on the cusp of completing a relocation to their brand new offices. Their new offices are state-of-the-art and have all modern facilities and amenities and onsite parking. The role although on a contract basis has a high potential to turn permanent for the candidate.
