Payroll Assistant Opportunity based within a leading Accountancy Practice | Available for Immediate Start

Your new company
You will be joining one of the UK's leading independent accountancy practices with offices in Manchester, London and Blackburn. They have been providing support and advice to clients for over 100 years and have a strong reputation built on a long established tradition of providing quality services. They are currently seeking a payroll professional to join their busy payroll Manchester team.

Your new role
As a Payroll Assistant, you will be joining a busy payroll team who are responsible for providing payroll services and CIS services to clients of the practice. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process for your own portfolio of clients with varying employee numbers. Currently the team process the payroll of approximately 850 clients, dealing with all aspects that affect payroll, from the set-up of PAYE schemes with HMRC through to submitting the End of Year P35's and P14's. You will also be responsible for processing starters and leavers, RTI submissions, auto-enrolment and contacting HMRC in regards to client pay runs.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will possess excellent communication skills, have a proven knowledge of the entire life cycle of payroll production from PAYE scheme and have previous experience working within a Payroll team either within Practice or within a Payroll Bureau. Ideally, you will have experience of Sage Payroll software and be a good user of Microsoft Word and Excel. You will also work well as a part of an efficient team, and be able to build relationships with clients as well as all internal departments. Applicants with experience of CIS post April 2007 will be looked upon favourably. You will also live locally to this Manchester based job.
