You will be working within a well established firm of accountants who have an excellent reputation in the local area. The firm offer a range of services to their clients including accounting and audit, tax and payroll and due to growth they are now looking to appoint an Accounts and Payroll professional to their busy and friendly team.
Your new role
As an Accounts and Payroll Assistant you will be responsible for working with a range of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships, ensuring VAT returns, bank reconciliations and generally bookkeeping is prepared. You will also be required to assist in the Payroll department, processing the end to end payroll for a high number of clients on a weekly and monthly basis.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this position you must have worked within a firm of accountants previously and will ideally be able to produce accounts up to trial balance. You must be up to date with the latest payroll legislation in relation to SSP, SMP and SPP and have experience in auto enrolment. Ideally you will have used Sage and Sage Payroll previously.
What you'll get in return
In return this firm are offering a competitive salary and benefits package inclusive of 30 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension and parking. You will be working 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday although some flexibility is available. This position is available on either a part or full time basis.
