Metro are seeking a creative, marketing genius to join their media empire based in the heart of London City. With an incredible 300 million hits to their website a day, they are seeking a passionate, driven individual who thrives off autonomy and wants to put their own stamp on a global media empire.

To play a hands on role in a busy marketing team, working closely with wider commercial teams to help ensure smooth running, consistency and effectiveness across all trade marketing activity.

To identify and communicate the strengths of each brand including audience insight and advertising solutions to media agencies and direct clients. You will the first point of contact for the commercial sales teams for day to day trade marketing activity and seek out new initiatives and opportunities to drive performance. You will have the prime opportunity to have a real impact on the marketing team and the group.


  • Implement trade marketing activity, campaigns and event
  • Manage and optimise trade database systems and comms
  • Update and fill content on trade websites
  • Manage commercial social media accounts including Twitter and LinkedIn (of which there a combined following of millions)
  • Copywriting of marketing collateral, including emails and printed materials
  • Produce case studies and product decks, ensuring consistency for each brand
  • Order and manage merchandise
  • Work closely with insight team to deliver strong commercial sales stories
  • Work with creative team to produce key marketing materials in print, digital and video
  • Co-ordinate events and liaise with external suppliers
  • Maximise relationships with key industry bodies e.g. IAB to optimise opportunities
  • Provide general support to the marketing team and ensure department runs smoothly

  • Have a good understanding of the media landscape and appetite for trade marketing
  • Have experience working with the media
  • Event experience and proof of project management
  • Have strong copywriting skills and excellent attention to detail.
