Forward Role have partnered with a leading fashion business in Manchester on the search for an Online Trading Manager. This is a pivotal role for the business, responsible for the day to day trading activity across the global websites.

Tasks, duties and responsibilities:

- Oversee all products to website ensuring, in conjunction with Copywriter/Content Editor, descriptions are all complete.
- Understand and contribute to the Commercial and Creative strategies of the websites
- Understand and utilize the insight from analytical merchandising with the creative needs of the Brand, Products and Markets to deliver a VM approach that helps to achieve KPIs - sales, productivity, and profit.
- Merchandising all products to maximise sales and cross-sell/up-sell and site aesthetics, within brand guidelines
- Full site audits, ensuring all current stock is displayed online correctly
- Work with the Creative team to ensure all options are online, on time and that styling and retouching is correct and to guidelines
- Understanding intake for the business, expected deliveries and items being delivered
- Prepare for and organise all major and minor sale events, re-merchandising the site as required
- Regular competitor activity across both retail stores and online to understand the market place and environment
- Review onsite search behaviour to gain an understanding of keyword queries and manipulate the products within the search pages to drive conversion
- Actively monitor product sorting within categories and on the search results page
- Propose, prepare and monitor AB tests; analyse test results and present findings
- Drive changes to online category strategy based on customer and competitive insights, brand strategy and e-commerce goals and initiatives
- You will have a strong understanding of the trading performance of each website (banner clicks, traffic behaviour, conversion triggers etc) and feed this into the key directional and other trading meetings to use as a basis to make decisions around the promotional plan.
- You will be responsible for the execution of the promotional plan across each website making decisions as to how best to execute promotions on the website to gain maximum visitor attention and drive sales and conversion.
- You will manage your team to deliver the promotional plan across the group of websites in English language ensuring all promotional activity goes live correctly and according to plan including performing weekend checks and managing the weekend rota.
- You will monitor the ongoing performance of online promotions making any recommendations for change and feeding this back to other managers, Head of Department and Directors as appropriate.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that user experience is optimum at all times on a day to day basis and consult with the User Experience team on this as necessary.
- You will use web analytics tools and work with the Insight Team to monitor performance of all the key elements of the website to understand the success of the promotional programme and make recommendations for changes on a daily basis.
- You will be comfortable using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and making recommendations using data as a basis.
- You will mentor your team and organise appropriate training on these analytics tools and ensure your team follow a customer and data centric approach when changing the websites.
