This Leicester centre based multi-cultural Primary School are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 6 pupil for start on 9th October until the end of the academic year. The School is a very friendly and supportive School with a vibrant and diverse atmosphere.
Your new role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will be working specifically with a Year 6 pupil who sufferers from ADHD requiring behaviour management and curriculum learning support. You will support the class teacher in lesson planning and preparation for the pupil as well as monitoring pupil's progress and updating IEP's and other reports. Your main responsibility is to ensure that the children and young people you support maximise their learning potential and work towards positive outcomes.
Interviews to be held week commencing 23rd October and then a start date of ASAP contracted until the end of the Academic year.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum and recent experience working with similar aged pupils. You will ideally have experience of working with pupils with ADHD and have excellent behaviour management. You will have a proven record of demonstrating positive outcomes when working with young children, particularly those with challenging behaviour.
You will be an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant that can engage and build positive relationships with students and inspire them to get the most out of their education.
