Risk and Value Coordinator
Salary: Circa £30,000 possible movement for the right candidate

My client is looking for a Risk and Value Coordinator to join their team in Newport to take responsibility for the Risk and Value process and work to improve the performance of the Risk and Value workshops. Lead the organisation and coordination of the Risk and Value programme to ensure operational buy-in to the process and meet the capital efficiency challenges and build a culture in which Risk and Value is seen as an essential step in the Capital Delivery Process.
·Ensuring that Health & Safety procedures are adhered to;
·Positively represent the Risk and Value process within the Capital Delivery Alliance, ensuring that others understand its purpose and value;
·Actively ensure that capital schemes at Stage 3 and Stage 4 of the Capital Gateway Process are taken through the Risk and Value process;
·Effectively facilitate Risk and Value workshops to generate cost efficient opportunities as part of the investment process;
·Develop best practice application of the process within the Capital Delivery Alliance;
·Ensure that best value is balanced with risk management during the Risk and Value process;
·Continually improve personal skills and knowledge with regards to workshop facilitation and the principles of risk management;
·Actively lead and support teams within the Capital Delivery Alliance to arrive at preferred solutions that demonstrate optimal value by balancing service and compliance risk against costs;
·Protect and add value through actively challenging solutions where appropriate;
·Define problems, gather information, transcribe and post data, and clarify information to draw valid conclusions;
·Work independently and with others - including Operations, Asset Team and Capital Delivery Alliance team members;
·Establish priorities and manage time to meet deadlines and perform duties under time constraints;
·Ensure that Risk and Value templates are correctly completed and returned to the appropriate areas of the business;
·Be flexible and adapt to changing work demands as appropriate, including a willingness to travel as required;
·Support the Capital Delivery Alliance Performance and Efficiency Manager; and
·Carry out any other duties as required to meet business needs.
· Degree or equivalent level of qualification in a related subject, (Environment, Construction, Surveying, Design).
· Full UK Driving License
· Proven understanding of how to communicate with different engineering disciplines and the construction industry
· Experience in, and understanding of water and wastewater asset performance
· Exhibit behaviors consistent with the Alliance vision and values
· A desire to promote and drive innovation to produce optimal solutions that provide best value
· Collaborative approach and good communication skills
On offer is a salary of £30,000 or contract equivalent rate.
