Job Description

My client, a leading Software firm, are looking for a Data Analyst Apprentice to join their team while receiving world-class training from QA Apprenticeships. The individual performing this role will be required to provide data analysis on the insurance sector. The business have offices throughout the UK, with this particular role based in Solihull, West Midlands.


The role is a UK based role focusing on the proactive analysis and segmentation of the Insurer and MGA marketplace. Analysis will include the current addressable markets of the UK, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean along with research and identification of new markets (i.e. Europe) as required.

  • Review external Analysts reports and provide regular synopsis of the "analyst view" to the Strategic Sales Team
  • Assist with the analyst submissions and presentations to ensure timely submissions to feature in e.g. European PAS reports
  • Use analytical findings to provide effective marketing and increased revenue opportunities
  • Ensure the currency and accuracy of data for each territory we sell and prepare the data for new markets we wish to enter
  • Assist the Inside Sales Consultant and New Business sales team with research into the target market for each of the company value propositions

  • Research and populate the marketing and sales CRM with contact details and key stakeholders (defining the Target Audience)
  • Ensure that CRM output can map to the target market and company value propositions
  • Research market, find new contacts, update CRM and identify opportunities to engage a target organisation
  • Identify target opportunities (accounts and individuals) for campaigns and events
  • Liaise and work with marketing to drive forward campaigns and events to ensure success
  • Ensure that the right sales messages are being used in campaign and event material
  • Ensure any telemarketing activities are focused on the right target market, accounts and individuals

Desired Requirements/Qualities

  • Awareness of the other organisations' competitive products and services
  • Ability to adapt knowledge to new systems
  • Ability to manage own learning and development
  • Must be willing and able to undertake UK travel as required

Required Qualifications

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification
  • A Levels in ICT/Business/Computing

Or an Apprenticeship in a similar subject (this must be at least the level below the planned programme)

Or an International Baccalaureate at level 3 in ICT

Or a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

For any City and Guilds programmes the learner must be 18 on the first day of their apprenticeship

Other Important Information

Working week - 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday


Potential for a full time role at the end of the Apprenticeship with a full salary review, as well as further accredited training from QA Apprenticeships.
