At i-teachers we work closely with Secondary Schools across Leicester who are looking for talented graduates who wish to pursue a career in education or working with children.

Our aim is to place you at a school that would benefit your future career plans which would include arranging and coordinating your trial day.

You will need to have a real passion for your subject, and have the enthusiasm and resilience to pass this on to pupils. Some experience working with young people is essential, although it doesn't have to be within a classroom setting.

The schools we work with are renowned for developing their own talent, and are embarking on their own teacher training schemes, which may mean you can move directly on to your teacher training the following year.

It would be beneficial if you have gained a 2:1 or higher in your degree and that the subject which you have graduated. The most important element is that you have a passion first of all for the subject and to become an educator and work within a school setting in the future.

The Teaching Assistant role itself will find you supporting the class teacher over an array of topics, helping students gain a better understanding of learning objectives within your chosen area of specialism. Throughout your time at the school you will find yourself work within the classroom and in smaller groups, aiding students who may need additional support in certain areas.
