Our schools are searching for recent Physics and other science graduates, who may be considering a career in education and would like to gain paid work experience whilst exploring this option. GSCE and A Level Physics Academic Mentor
- Science Degree - Physics
- Graduate with 2:1 or above
- Dudley, West Midlands
- Supporting and passionate Science Department
- £300 per week
- Role starting ASAP!
To be shortlisted for these roles, you will need to have a minimum of 2:1 degree in Physics or other related subject. It is not essential that you have experience, but you will need to demonstrate a level of understanding of what it takes to be successful in in a school setting. It is important that you are ready to take on a challenge and eager to learn, to develop the skills needed to become an exceptional teacher.
The role will require you to work in both small groups and on a 1:1 basis, helping them to make the progress they need to reach their full potential in their GCSEs and A Levels. As you become more confident, you will be able to take on new responsibilities, such as assisting with leading the lessons, planning your own resources and even taking some practical lesson. You will play a key role in ensuring that pupils have a practical, fun and informative approach to their learning.
In return, you will receive support and guidance from a cooperative Science department, who see a huge benefit to talented graduates joining their schools, to empower and inspire their students. This is a really exciting opportunity to gain paid experience in a Science Department before going on to a PGCE or Schools Direct Course next year.
