Person specification

This school are looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work until the end of the academic year. You will be a core subject graduate (English/Maths/Science/Humanities) who has a strong academic background. Ideally this school are looking to see graduates who are passionate about education and aspire to be teachers in the future. You must be confident in your communication methods and be able to inspire struggling students to achieve their full potential. If you do have any previous experience of working with children/pupils this would be advantageous.

Graduate Teaching Assistant - About the role

In this exciting role you will be working closely with the Senior Leadership team and Teachers. You will work with targeted students who need that extra push to achieve their full potential. You will be an integral part of the schools strategy to support students academically with your expert subject knowledge.

You will be required to deliver intervention sessions to individuals or to small groups of students in order to give them that extra push outside of the classroom. The teachers and Senior Leadership team will assist you along the way and ensure your own professional development is on track.

The exciting role is based in an 11-16 Secondary School in Salford. There is on-site car parking for those who drive and direct bus/tram routes from the city centre. There will be a number of other graduates working as teaching assistants who will be able to support you in your first few weeks of the role!
