Our client, is a highly successful, US-listed business, which is seeking to recruit a Senior System Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in overseeing the design and development and implementation of software systems, applications and related products Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices

Good project management skills

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to conduct research into systems, issues and products as required

Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Strong customer service orientation

Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 7, 8 and 10

Office 365 platform - including design & implementation of Office 365 migrations and ongoing management

Microsoft Exchange administration, and Office 2010/2013/Office 365

Microsoft Server Operating Systems - Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016

Solid understanding of the network technologies stack, e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN

Experience of design, implementation, and support of VMware virtualization (vSphere) and/or Microsoft virtualization (Hyper-V) platforms

Job description and key responsibilities:

The Sr. Systems Engineer's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. The Senior Systems Engineer will also assist with the design and implementation of infrastructure systems across the organization, progressive development of standards, and production of action plans to ensure continuous improvement wherever possible. They will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues. The individual is a senior technical expert and has responsibility for ensuring that projects are completed to the highest possible technical level and fully in line with all Corporate Governance standards. This individual will also mentor and provide guidance to the rest of the IS team.
