A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Credit Limit & Control Associate to work within a large International bank, in their London based Middle office team.

Main Responsibilities of the Credit Limit & Control Associate:

- Monitor and review all new committed/uncommitted credit facilities approved by Credit Department.
- Review and approve all lending documentation, ensuring operational aspects are controllable and in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Execution and approval of consistency check between lending documentation and credit approval, providing final sign off on Key Terms & Conditions, including fulfilment of Credit Conditions.
- Reconcile bookings on the Global Gateway System against the banks operating systems to ensure control of global limits.
- Execution and approval of credit limits in the banks operating systems ensuring all prerequisite requirements are met in relation to local validations such as EMIR and Volker.
- Identification, origination and approval of documented financial covenant obligations of the borrower in the Bank's operating system.
- Obtain receipt of necessary facility documentation to complete the Bank's records, including obtaining confirmation of Conditions Precedent.
- Review Credit Risk Insurance policies against the credit application.
- Register and approve relevant insurance policy information in Loan IQ and GBR.
- Perform hand-over meetings with Loan Admin, Trade Finance Ops and Treasury Ops, upon deal closure.
- Working with internal and external counterparts to execute secondary loan trading confirmations and transfer certificates, validating credit approval conditions against traded deal information.
- Liaise and maintain close working relationships with all Front Office Departments and provide accurate information on all aspects of documentation review.
- Support project work as and when required, including necessary system testing.

Experience Required of the Credit Limit & Control Associate:

- Prior exposure to Loan OR Trade Finance related documentation, including the working mechanics of the credit approval process
- Exposure to secondary trading and primary syndication is also advantageous, including the drafting of trade confirmations and transfer certificates. Familiar with the workings of standard Loan Market Association documentation.
- Experience in Trade Finance products, including the use and structure of Letters of Credit and Guarantees would be desirable but not essential
- Understanding of key risks and associated control points in the transactions lifecycle.
