Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant

You will be working throughout the school, depending on the needs of each year group. You could be working with higher ability children to give them the challenge and push they need, or you could be working with lower ability children who need positivity and encouragement to feel more confident to give things ago and develop personally. These sessions may be organised by yourself or the class teacher, and could be on a 1:1 or group basis. This school has children from a variety of backgrounds, who display various needs and interests. The school are keen to find a graduate who has that something extra they can bring to their students. If you have a hobby or interest, and are willing to use this to improve attendance, attainment and behaviour, then this could be for you!

You will need to have high expectations of your own ability and others, in order to be a positive role model to all children throughout the school. You will need to be trustworthy and positive to ensure all children feel that they are in an environment where they can achieve the best they can. In addition, you will need to be able to develop relationships with staff members, to continue the inclusive and friendly atmosphere they have at school. You will need to be highly organised, in order to effectively communicate and record progress and improvements,
