Dynamics NAV Application Support Consultant, Support Analyst
Dynamics NAV ERP Application Support Consultant / MS Dynamics NAV Support Analyst for a new role in Southampton. This location is very convenient for candidates living in Southampton, Eastleigh, Ringwood, Winchester, Fareham or Chandlers Ford.
For someone with very limited Dynamics NAV support knowledge they will pay around £25k with further training, and for someone who can start taking NAV Support calls and enquiries from clients straight away, they will pay up to £35k. Reviews after 6 months and life assurance.
This is a vibrant, growing ERP software company who develop, implement and support Dynamics NAV for a niche market. Their clients run ERP software, some on premise and some hosted, and some on mobiles and tablets.
This is somewhere you will learn, grow and develop your software skills in a knowledge sharing environment - and they also have fun. Everyone is friendly, professional and committed to giving their clients the best possible support service as quickly and efficiently as possible.
You will be joining the application support team to work on the MS Dynamics NAV ERP solution. The role is to understand what the client is saying, by really listening. Many of the support issues are not about the software but about the client using the software in the wrong way, so as a Support Consultant asking questions to establish what they are trying to do and avoiding the "it isn't working circle" is helpful. People who are confident on the phone, can ask open questions and have patience do much better.
An understanding of business software and business processes is incredible helpful and knowledge of accounting and finance would be a real advantage. But the essential experience you need is with MS Dynamics NAV, so you will be used to working on MS Dynamics NAV as an end user Support Analyst or as a NAV Systems Administrator or you will be working on Dynamics NAV support for another reseller elsewhere.
The job role:
- Answering support telephone calls and emails professionally and personably
- Logging incidents clearly and concisely
- Assisting clients via remote login
- Progressing and resolving clients' problems confidently and effectively
- Coping under pressure when busy
- Meeting SLA's
- Proactive and well organised people will do well
They are looking for someone who is friendly, energetic, loves the technical aspects of IT, and has a good telephone manner and a positive attitude. The Support Manager has extensive Dynamics NAV experience and will teach you what you don't know, but as your skills improve you will really get your hands dirty with MS Dynamics NAV solving more complex issues yourself. So there is plenty of scope to develop in this role.
