This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pensions professional to join our passionate and knowledgeable Pensions team as the Pensions Manager. This exciting hands on role will see you managing a team of pensions professionals, utilising your pensions and management experience to continue the long-term success of the team.
The Pensions team manages the process for all 30+ UK businesses and 17,000 employees. We are hard-working, focused and passionate about what we do; this coupled with our customer-centric attitude makes for a successful team that is an essential part of the Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland group.
What will I be doing in the role?
In the role as Pensions Manager you will;
Manage a team of 5 direct reports
Provide an efficient and effective pensions management service to the entire Company and pension scheme members
Ensure that the required systems and procedures facilitate the service being provided
Provide strategic and technical support to the Company in connection with the implementation and management of pension arrangements
Act as Secretary to the Trustees and are also responsible the day to day management of the pension schemes
Manage the trustees, the advisers and service providers together with investment managers and custodians

For the Pensions Manager specifically it is important that you have:
Attention to detail, influencing, communication and leadership skills
Technical pension knowledge as well as the ability to be up to date with the ongoing changes in pension.
A FPMI or equivalent qualification
Come from an in-house pension management background with actuarial and investment knowledge and experience
Expertise in investment types, investment strategies, including liability driven investments, and implementation of investment policy
