The purpose of the role is to contribute to primary and technical provision of the manufacturing unit(s) and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of product safety, legality and quality. You will ensure that the manufacturing unit(s) meet legislation, customer accreditation and company requirements.
By using a pro-active and technical perspective, you?ll deliver continuous improvements towards the Technical Function.
? Deputy to Technical Audit Manager
? Complete internal audits as a key part of skilled and trained audit team.
? Provide advice to operations team on technical matters and risk assess concessions where necessary
? Issuing non-conformances outside of internal audit schedule where deviations to due process and procedure are witnessed
? Ensure ?good manufacturing practice? (GMP) is followed at all times.
? Issue quarantine notices and manage the responses to ensure root cause analysis is adopted and that appropriate corrective and preventive action is completed.
? Must have a thorough understanding of both high and standard care food operating requirements.
? Monitor and maintain all agreed departmental KPI?s and provide specific reports to the business that measure performance in areas of responsibility.
What you will need for the role / what it will take
? An understanding of high and standard care food operating standards.
? Qualified as a Lead Auditor
? An understanding of the importance of traceability to the business and where it links into the quality management system.
? An understanding of the principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point techniques.
? Inherent understanding of site hygiene, technical, QA and Health & Safety requirements.
? Advanced computer knowledge (spread sheets, word processing, e-mail).
