About the Role:

As a graduate teaching assistant you will be allocated a core group of students that you will support and mentor on an individual and group basis. You will gain a fascinating insight into what it takes to be an outstanding teacher and mentor, as well as gaining more responsibility as your confidence grows. You will primarily be working within the schools sixth form department, presenting yourself as a go to for academic, emotional and personal support for a core group of students. You may be required to work closely with subject teachers, members of the Senior Leadership Team and parents to give advice, support and guidance.

Person Specification:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least a 2:1 degree, preferably in a core subject. Experience is not essential, however you will need to show commitment and drive to your own development and have a passion for education. You will need to be confident communicating with a wide range of people and have the ability to think on your feet in fast-paced, high pressure situations.
