We have a new role for a Financial Crime Specialist with a specialist mortgage lending and servicing business based in Uxbridge.

Responsibilities for the role of Financial Crime Specialist

  • Draft new or amend existing financial crime policies, manuals and procedures
  • Carry out reviews of financial crime documentation
  • Review the compliance Proflow financial crime centric reminders throughout the day prioritising items and actioning reminders as required in accordance with Financial Crime procedures referring cases to the Senior Compliance Manager or Director of Risk and Compliance as required
  • Carry out transaction monitoring in accordance with financial crime procedures
  • Provide data/MI to inform Financial Crime reporting as required
  • Provide input to financial crime training materials as required
  • Provide input/produce reports in relation to financial crime work undertaken
  • Carry out customer/client screening
  • Carry out CIFAS/SIRA/fraud checks as required and work with the lending team in relation to potential hits and concerns on cases
  • Interact with law enforcement and other external bodies
  • Draft witness statements
  • Membership and attendance of relevant financial crime/fraud forums and communication of learnings

Experience required for the role of Financial Crime Specialist

  • Experience in a financial crime role within financial services is essential
  • The ideal candidate with have a good understanding of mortgages
  • Experience of using financial crime tools such as CIFAS, HUNTER, SIRA
  • Able to identify and highlight financial crime issues

Salary: £25-35,000 plus benefits and bonus

Location: Uxbridge
