Hillingdon Manor School require a dedicated Deputy Head Teacher (Secondary SEN) to join our independent DfE registered School in Hillingdon, Middlesex. Currently rated Good, our school specialises in providing primary and secondary education to children and young people with autism. Salary Scale £53,597 p.a. - £58,720 p.a. plus benefits
At Hillingdon Manor, we provide specialist education for c170 pupils, aged between 5-19 years old with the Secondary School supporting around c130 students. We deploy of a wide range of teaching strategies to engage and develop the progress of learners, who present with a range of learning difficulties and styles. Our students are taught in smaller class sizes and all students work towards GCSE and equivalent qualification in functional skills.As Deputy Head, you will work closely with the Head and SLT driving through the School Improvement Plan whilst also developing and leading the existing team.With previous experience at senior leadership level, applicants must also meet and evidence the following criteria:-
- Relevant teaching qualification, ideally having worked within an SEN setting although not essential
- Thorough understanding of OFSTED procedures and inspections
- Effective leadership skills with previous experience of leading and developing a team
- Experience in curriculum planning, monitoring of teaching & learning plus evaluation and review
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant Regulatory Body Regulations
