An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller in an independently owned Company based in Leicester. In return, we offer a competitive rate of pay, free parking, and in house training. This job would suit someone with experience in Credit Control, with a strong track record in chasing overdue accounts, with exposure to all aspects of credit control in a fast moving, high volume business environment. You must be self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be required to resolve all invoice queries, whilst building relationships with customers. Experience using Excel is essential. Position: Primarily Credit Control but this role would also include some Purchase Ledger duties. You will be part of a small finance team with a series of regular finance tasks and responsibilities which will need to be completed on a monthly, weekly & daily basis. General duties include daily bank reconciliations, allocation of customer receipts, monitoring of customer accounts, building and maintaining strong customer relations and resolving customer queries in a timely manner. The Credit Controller's key role responsibilities include: * Daily bank reconciliations on excel spreadsheet * Daily cash allocations on our bespoke computer system (key2) * Management of the aged debtors spreadsheet * Daily chasing of money via telephone, email and post * Investigating customer queries * Raising and processing through the accounts team credit notes as authorised by Sales Director * Responding to customer queries via phone/email etc. * Credit checking new potential accounts * Opening new credit accounts * Prepare and issue "small claims proceeding" as directed by the CEO and/or Management * Maintain credit control contact databases * Prepare and circulate client statements on a monthly (or weekly) basis * Aiding the purchase ledger team when necessary * weekly debtor meetings with the Group CEO Skills/Experience & Qualification: * Book keeping / credit control experience * Ability to plan, prioritise and organise * Confident in Microsoft Excel * Computer keyboard skills Personal Attributes: Organised - Team-working skills - Self-reliant - Positive and encouraging - Pays close attention to detail Hours of work: 9.00 - 5.30 Monday - Friday If you feel you meet the criteria above then please apply online today to be considered for the Credit Controller role.
