Graduate Learning Mentor

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Are you a recent Russell Group or Oxbridge graduate and are now looking to get started in your teaching career?

Perhaps you would like to gain some school based experience at an improving Rotherham secondary school, earning £300 per week as opposed to jumping in at the deep end and going straight into a PGCE?

Does the opportunity to support disadvantaged students achieve their full academic potential appeal to you?

If you are a high achieving Russell Group or Oxbridge graduate then this could be the perfect position for you to start your teaching career!

Graduate Learning Mentor

This school is located close to the Centre of Rotherham and is easily accessible by both Bus and train from surrounding towns and cities in South Yorkshire including Sheffield and for those who drive there is a large staff car park. This graduate learning mentor position is in a supportive and inclusive Sheffield Secondary school.

At the heart of the schools ethos is academic success and the 'outstanding' teaching staff are really passionate about providing the highest quality of education for its students. This role is perfect for an ambitious Russell Group or Oxbridge graduate who has a real passion for a career in education.

You must have at least a 2:1 in an English, Maths or Science degree from a Russell Group or Oxbridge university. The supportive staff at the school are an extremely collaborative team and they work closely with the schools senior leadership team to ensure that students achieve their full potential.

You will be working primarily within your chosen subject area and with students of a range of abilities. Some of the students you will work with will be on that critical C/D grade boundary and need extra support to reach that C grade and others will be gifted and talented students needing the motivation an academic support to reach that A/A* grade.
