Thatcher MCS are excited to be working with a small, but highly-regarded additive manufacturing firm who have continued to grow over the last five years. Our client, who boasts an impressive list of clients are actively seeking a talented Software Engineer to assist in meeting a continuously growing global demand for complex, super lightweight components.

The role is ideal for a software developer with a few years commercial Python or C# experience looking to learn new technologies within a relaxed, autonomous environment. This opportunity also offers the opportunity to directly assist in Research and Development activities, learning through trial and error to really drive innovation within the company`s operations. My client has a real interest in developing the candidate into a DevOps Engineer, therefore if you have an interest in DevOps, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Supporting & developing in-house production systems built using the Django framework
- Developing software in C#
- Supporting testing activities
- Developing software in order to analyse complex machine data
- Assisting in the development of Apprentices

Required Skills and Experience

- Well versed in C# or Python
- Ideally educated to degree level
- Experience developing software within a commercial environment
- The desire to transition into a DevOps Engineer
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible in your attitude to working & learning new technologies
- Hard-working `can do` attitude with enthusiasm in everything you do
