An international group who are experts in the production of test & measurement equipment are looking to recruit a Technical Sales person to join their increasing UK workforce. The role will see you sell their complete range of test & measurement equipment. Experience in the test & measurement industry would be advantageous.

Commutable from: Leatherhead, Sutton, Surbiton, Chessington

Salary: £ 27,000 - £ 32,000 p.a. + Company Car + Bonus + Pension

Suitable for: Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Business Development

The Role

Sales planning, business development and sales target achievement at a national level
Key account management directly responsible for the achievement of sales/business development activities
Key relationship management for national distributors
Market feedback on product/pricing/promotion/competition including providing future product feature/functionality requirements as identified by customer opportunities
Identification of sales and business development opportunities that directly support achievement of UK sales growth, including bids and proposals, support for larger/more complex projects and taking orders wherever possible
Identify and develop market sector specific partners and propositions to promote product offerings (e.g. Utilities, Power, Oil & Gas etc)
Support marketing initiatives in direct relation to generating sales, including participation in events and trade shows, channel and end user marketing campaigns. Advertising and promotional activities that support increase brand awareness and sales generation
Partner and end customer business propositions, product sales presentations. Demonstrations and training, including development of sales training tools.
Work effectively and communicate with internal sales / technical support to ensure that all customer issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion
2nd level product technical support as required

The Person

Excellent communication skills including telephone and email
Good time management and personal organisational skills
Ability to work to deadlines
Ability to work without close supervision
Excellent numeracy skills
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrates a good level of negotiation skills with internal and external customers
Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills
Working knowledge of SAGE accounting software or other similar database
A good understanding and working knowledge of software/hardware/firmware systems
Good working knowledge of Windows 7 & 10 environments
Office IT/Software literate (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
