About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Technology Engineer to join our Major Projects team to work across the East Midlands.

What you'll be doing

As a Technology Engineer, you will:

* Provide a customer focused/service/commercial approach to work.
* Ensure systems are above the required 97% availability target through efficient and effective working.
* Ensure HA TPMS data is captured and entered correctly and all data accurate.
* Attend faults, knockdowns etc. and carry out corrective maintenance including the reinstatement of sites, cable and equipment damaged by others.
* Be proficient in the maintenance and operation of all Highways England systems (hardware and software) within the EM and WM RCC.

Who we're looking for
You will:

* Be qualified to HNC or BTEC Higher National Certificate in electronics/ telecommunications engineering (or an agreed equivalent qualification), and have extensive experience working on Motorway communications or closely related systems.
* Have good knowledge of HA communications infrastructure and standards.
* Have good knowledge of HA testing/TMMM requirements.
* Have NMCS 2 Communications experience i.e. good all round technology experience e.g. MIDAS, CCTV, VMS, ERTs, NTIS, HAWIS, Traffic Signals etc.
* Have good communication skills.
