Person Specification - English Graduate Teaching Assistant

The ideal candidate for this role will be an enthusiastic English Graduate who has a 2:1 degree or higher, preferably from a Russell Group University. Any previous experience of mentoring/working with children is preferable however not necessarily in a school based environment. This role is well suited to someone who would like to pursue teacher training in the near future and is perfect to gain school based experience.

About the role- English Graduate Teaching Assistant

This role will involve you joining a supportive and multicultural Primary School as a teaching assistant. Your specific responsibilities will involve assisting with the schools literacy strategy and ensuring all pupils are making and exceeding expected progress. You may be required to work 1:1 to deliver booster and intervention strategies with pupils and liaise with their class teacher/parents.
