MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Job purpose
To manage the day to day running of the Company`s Marketing department, drive new marketing and communication initiatives and ensure that the company`s marketing strategy and policies are implemented across the company to the highest standards.

Key relationships
Joint Managing Director, Associate Director, Head of Development and Sponsorship, Deputy Head of Projects and Senior Management Team

Key accountabilities
- Manage and continue to develop the company brand and company values across the company`s group.
- Assist the Executive Board Director to write and manage the company`s Marketing Strategy - in consultation with the company Business Strategy.
- Manage the Marketing budget - monthly reports to the Joint Managing Director.
- Provide support with internal communications process where appropriate.
- Act as a first port of call for general marketing enquiries from colleagues.

Company website

- Manage the development and running of the company website.
- Manage and liaise with the external digital agency which runs the website.
- Manage the upkeep of the client pages on the website, liaising with the artist management and projects/tours teams to ensure they remain strong, sales-focused and up to date.
- Manage the process by which news and digital content is uploaded to the website and social channels, liaising with the artist management and projects/tours teams to ensure key sales messages are included.
- Oversee the writing, editing and proofing of artist biographies, tailoring content and language to different readerships (audiences and promoters) and making them available on the website.
- Oversee the editing and uploading of audio clips.
- Brief the IT department on creative and branding considerations for all online video material.
- Ensure all other website content is accurate and up to date, performing regular checks and audits.
- Monitor user activity on the site, producing reports using Google analytics.
- Manage the company`s Twitter feed, sourcing content from artist management & projects/tours teams and Ensuring an engaging and appropriate tone and building the number of followers.
- Manage the company`s LinkedIn Page.
- Monitor and assess company`s social media presence, considering new opportunities & platforms.
- Manage the Twitter feed and Facebook page of the International Piano Series, liaising with colleagues, the Southbank Centre and managers from other agencies as appropriate to create content and increase likes and followers.

Printed materials

- Manage relationships with key print suppliers.
- Produce bespoke and visually compelling sales materials and pitches for a range of audiences using Adobe InDesign, liaising with artist management, projects/tours and sponsorship/development teams and collating and writing content as required.
- Ensure company branding and style guidelines are applied across all marketing materials.
- Manage the company Wisitia account (video hosting) - use it to upload videos and produce playlists for artist management & projects/tours sales pitches.
- Manage the company Spotify account (music streaming).
- Oversee the use of the digital media drive.
- Work with artist management/touring/IT to ensure the contact information and marketing preferences of key promoters is accurate and kept up to date on the company database.
- Manage the email campaign process, producing email campaigns for selected groups of promoters, monitoring open and click through rates.
- Oversee the management of marketing-related licenses and magazine/newspaper subscriptions, ensuring payments are up to date.
- Oversee the monitoring of key websites and social media for news and comment on clients, the company and the industry in general.
- Consultancies and associated companies.
- Provide marketing and communications advice and support when necessary to the company`s consultancy projects and associated companies within the Ltd group.
- Project manage specific company events, for example corporate anniversary.

General

- Be an active member of the company`s SMT.
- Research and monitor key marketing and communications trends and brief SMT, Board and the Executive Committee as appropriate.
- Run internal marketing & communications workshops to ensure staff are informed of new marketing and communication platforms.
- Oversee the management of information on external databases (e.g. IAMA database).
- Oversee the management of internal information resources (e.g. list of photographers, forthcoming releases, representation agreements, style guide) up to date.
- Induct new employees with company branding guidelines, internal and external communication practices in line with the company values.
- Ensure the public/client facing spaces on are on brand and maintained/updated with relevant materials and images.
