The R+D Design Engineer is required to improve the quality of the manufacturing process using various quality tools. Full training and development in company and manufacturing systems with excellent starting salary.

Research into both existing and emergent technologies and their innovative incorporation into new products.
Creation of concepts for new product development based on either self-generated or customer generated specifications.
Facilitation of new developments through frequent liaison with production engineers and manufacturing staff.
Generation of manufacturing documentation including drawings, BOMs and work instructions according to company standards.
Interaction with both customers and suppliers including specification definition and general problem
Proficient in the use of 3D design software, preferably SolidWorks.
Competence with standard MS Office suite of programs.
Solid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals.
General understanding of electrical and electro-magnetic principles.
General appreciation of lean manufacturing methods.
Exposure to DFMA principles and their application.
- - Design Engineering skills - 3D Design (Solidworks experience)
- - Minimum 1 year experience within a manufacturing environment
- - Degree qualified/HND/HNC within a mechanical discipline
