Secondary Academic Learning Mentor

  • Minimum 2:1 and core subjects preferable
  • Paid £300 up to per week

This role is a fabulous opportunity to gain hands on experience across a large community secondary school prior to commencing your teacher training in September. The role will require you to be flexible and committed to achieving the best outcomes, as well as willing to work with a wide range of age groups, abilities and backgrounds. Your role will vary between supporting in the classroom, leading small intervention classes to taking on a pastoral role for various pupils.

In order to begin this journey, you will need to have a minimum of a 2:1 degree, preferably in a core subject, however if you have excellent experience in an educational or social work, then you may be a good fit for this role! You will need to be empathetic and considerate to the challenges that young people face today, and have a commitment towards providing the best possible academic and personal advice, guidance and support.

You will be given second-to-none training, in order to support the development of the school, implementation of the school's strategies and your own career aspirations. They are committed to the development and retention of the graduates recruited onto their foundation programme and will support you every step of the way! The school is located in the Sandwell area and is easily accessible by car or public transport.
