Store Manager Designate
Store Manager Designate role in Yorkshire and the Humber, responsible for maximising profits and managing day to day running of the store. Ensuring the efficiency of operations and making sure the core values of the store are upheld.
My client is a nationally recognised retail organisation working within the charity sector, with stores in almost all towns and cities across the UK.
The organisation has a great ethical focus whilst maintaining profit-driven operations.
The available opportunities are in the Furniture and Electrical Store area of the client's operations.
Proactively source stock
Combined role of retail and strategy management and planning
Ensure profit targets are met
Recruit, train and manage a team of paid staff volunteers
Support national fundraising promotions and implement promotions in store
Ensure high levels of customer service across the store
Maintain high standards of presentation in store
Organise and encourage public donations of stock through strategic stock generation plan
Organising collection of stock and flow of stock from stockroom to shop floor
Select, price and rotate stock
Ensure all financial, cash handling and security procedures are adhered to
Store Manager Designate -
Good level of general education
IT literate and numerate
Product knowledge and understanding
understanding of gift aid legislation is desirable
Previous retail experience in commercial sector
experience managing a team
excellent customer service skills
good business acumen - ability to exploit business resources and opportunities, plan and monitor budgets and manage financial controls
strong leadership and motivation skills - ability to motivate team of volunteers
commitment, enthusiasm, high energy levels
Competitive salary of up to £23,000 as Store Manager Designate in the area of Yorkshire and the Humber
