Purchase Ledger

We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger in the Redditch area. Our Client is a well-established Company.

As a Purchase Ledger you will need to have/be:

·Experience in a busy finance department
·Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
·Knowledge of accounting software programmes
·Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


·Salary: £17,500.00-£18,500.00 per annum
·Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm
·Location: Redditch
·Duration: Permanent

Role of a Purchase Ledger:

·Responsible for organising and maintaining client, vendor and accounts files
·Deal with all billing and ledger queries, including creating credit notes where needed
·Ensure that accounts receivable and payable are taken care of in a timely manner
·Investigate invoice/ payment queries and chase for payments by telephone/e-mail/post
·Prepare and process sales invoices timely and accurately
·Analyse transactions to ensure that they comply with financial policies and procedures
·Computer data entry including data capture, spreadsheets and recording information
·Ensure that general administration duties are kept up to date and in line with the operational standards e.g. filing/ archiving, etc;
·Produce financial reports where required
·Responsible for the processing of external post
·Receive and verify billing and requisitions for goods and services
