The school require a Learning and Behaviour Mentor that can engage with pupils on an individual and group basis. Fulfilling this role, you will be expected to prepare and deliver various academic and pastoral activities to young people who demonstrate challenging behaviour, due to their background or other environmental factors. In addition to this, you will be monitoring students' attendance and behaviour, as well as progress and attainment in your sessions. You will be working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, whilst providing the support the students need to improve their engagement and attainment.
This position would suit an individual who has suitable experience working with young people exhibiting potential behavioural and emotional issues and somebody who may have a Psychology degree with a sound theoretical understanding of patterns in behaviour. You will need to have a minimum of a 2:1 degree, preferably from a Russell Group university. Although experience is not essential, it is desirable that you have some transferable experience and portray a passion to make a difference.
