£28,591 per annum for 36 hours per week Monday to Friday based at Mole Business Park, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 7BA.

This will be based in our Leatherhead Office. However flexible working is supported where possible. The post holder will be required to work on site, carry out out-of-hours standby and fault desk duties on a rota basis as necessary. About the Role

Are you looking for an opportunity to build your career in traffic signal maintenance?

Surrey County Council is the Highway Authority for the County of Surrey with responsibility for over 3000 miles of road and in excess of 750 traffic signal / ITS assets.

Based at the County Council?s Network Management Information Centre (NMIC), the post holder will be part of the Traffic Operations East Area Maintenance Team.

You will be required, with minimal supervision, to maintain, refurbish and develop Intelligent Transport Systems and ensure their operational safety and efficiency. The post holder will also be responsive to the demands and priorities of the wider directorate to maintain systems to provide a safe and efficient road network using ITS and other infrastructure to manage congestion.

The successful candidate will have the following:

1) Educated to ?A? level, HNC standard or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level.

2) Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to Traffic signal maintenance and operation.

3) Experience in civil / traffic engineering.

4) Experience in the use of AutoCad or similar systems.

5) Experience of monitoring works programme delivery and budgets.

6) Experience in the design operation and maintenance of traffic control systems.

7) Full UK driving licence.
