The role

Reporting to the Head of Research & Analysis, you will work in a matrix management style on a variety of analysis projects examining complex customer data to undertake customer profiling and provide insight into current trends and inform the future at Genesis. This is a truly wide-ranging brief, from developing insight from our sales and marketing information to promote our commercial products, forecasting the impact of external factors like government welfare reform on our residents and understanding our investment and divestment opportunities for our asset portfolio and development teams. Bespoke analysis requests include options appraisals for the management process, multivariate analysis of our complaints and repairs data and generating proportional samples of customers for bespoke research projects. This role would also support the Head of Research and Analysis and the Research Managers in developing and monitoring KPI and other performance reports and ensuring the presentation of research data enables strong engagement and comprehension.

Who we are looking for

Educated to degree level, the successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of customer relationship management tools, business reporting tools (for example Genesis uses Northgate, Microsoft CRM, INFORM, Qlikview) and government datasets like the Statistical Data Return and CORE data amongst others. You will need in-depth knowledge of research sampling structures and a thorough understanding of a range of analytical techniques including forecasting and modelling data, key driver analysis, factor analysis and regression analysis.

You will demonstrate advanced IT skills, and a high proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word, Visio, performance management systems and CRM. The successful candidate will be adept at formulating syntax and undertaking descriptive and predictive analysis using software like SPSS, R, SQL, Visual basic or similar. Knowledge of government surveys on employment, earnings, health, crime etc. and experience of survey software (like Snap, Survey Monkey etc.) would be an advantage.

You will have the ability to work on your own to complete tasks and also to work as part of supportive team. An understanding of the housing sector and external factors affecting the future of housing is desirable although not essential.

This role is 35 hours per week and is based in Camden at our Head Office. The benefits package includes a defined contributory pension and 26 days annual leave (rising to 28 after 2 years). We embrace smart working where appropriate.

The closing date for this role is 25th October 2017.
