Application Support Specialist - up to £25K - Tamworth, Staffordshire

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Application Support Specialist to join a growing market leader in labelling and artwork management software based in Tamworth. You will support bespoke Cloud based applications, providing 1st and 2nd line support to clients and users across the world. Out of hours support on a rota basis including occasional weekends will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigating support issues raised via 'phone, email or the support helpdesk.
- Determining priority of issues and escalating to relevant departments as required.
- Where necessary, running SQL queries to assist with investigation of issues.
- Day to day monitoring of the Application and Infrastructure to ensure continued performance of the application within agreed SLAs.
- Provide user training via telephone and conference calls.
- General IT support of desktops, printers, windows applications.

- Salary up to £25K
- Additional on call benefits.
- 25 days' holiday (plus 8 bank holidays)

The Person

Key skills and qualities of an Application Support Specialist:

- Good communication skills, and the ability to explain complex issues to a wide user base.
- 1st/2nd line application support experience. Preferably custom written applications, in a help desk environment.
- Logical problem-solving ability, with a strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: SQL, New Relic, Label Printing, AWS, G Suite.
