EAL Teaching Assistant (MFL Graduate with Spanish)

This exciting post offers a recent graduate of MFL or languages a great opportunity to join a growing EAL Department working with classes in KS3, 4 and 5. You will run interventions on 1:1 or small group basis to bring on literacy skills with those students struggling with language. There has been a large number of international new arrivals at the school, so extra support is needed. You will also have the chance to work alongside the Spanish team in the MFL Department, to enhance your skills here too.

To be successfully appointed to this EAL Teaching Assistant role, you will need to have a MFL degree from a UK institution having specialised in Spanish, ideally Russell Group, with a minimum 2:1 result and strong A Levels. Successful applicants will be able to speak Spanish, and have experience working and living abroad, so that you can engage with students who are in a similar situation.

The school is within Leeds with excellent networks by bus, train and road.
