My client are an established, market leading provider of business critical management software, a division of a global software group experiencing growth through continued success and investment.


We are seeking to enhance an existing Agile environment with a hands on developer team lead, to provide leadership to an expanding Software Development Team. Reporting to the Head of Development, we are looking for a strong communicator who will collaborate with the developers (in house and offshore), product owners and other stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of both products and projects.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems and removing impediments to progress.


The role responsibilities will include:

- Line management and motivation of a team of developers
- Help remove blockers and impediments for your team
- Monitor team?s progress through tasks and sprints
- Facilitate standups, refinement sessions, planning and retrospectives
- Build effective working relationship with Product Owners
- One on One coaching of team members and fostering relationships across the team and business as a whole
- Work within deadlines in relation to product release timelines, and consistently complete assigned development tasks in required timeframes
- Create and defend estimates and help the team do the same
- Follow and contribute to software development processes and standards



- Experience of working within Agile driven Software Product/Application environments (C#, .Net, SQL Server orientation)


- Experience of leading teams to include day to day management, appraisals and objective setting would be ideal, though we are happy to consider a Senior Developer with strong communication skills looking to move into a leadership domain
