This is a very well established fresh produce business that have multiple sites throughout the UK. They are world renowned for quality and expertise in their own label, branded and produced goods. They create and supply a wide range of products to retailers and food service alike. This particular site is a relatively new, but successful site that is growing is size and customer base.
Ideal Candidate description:
The ideal Technical Services Manager will be someone that can help drive systems and improvements whilst working with the factory teams and challenge the current way of working. I am looking for someone that ideally has experience with major retailers and working in an innovative environment. This candidate will be someone that can manage Quality Management Systems and step in for the Technical Manager if needed. They will be a driven, self-starting team player that understands the importance of accurate work. This Technical Services Manager will have experience in a fresh produce/high care environment and have a minimum of Level 3 HACCP.
Job description and key responsibilities:
The Technical Services Manager is tasked with the development, improvement and implementation of Technical Safety and Quality Systems for Private label and retailer branded products. They will be seen as the expert for auditing and system management which will involve training other staff members on site. They will manage and develop Customer and BRC Audits to an extremely high level. They will also manage the internal audit schedule to cover HACCP, TACCP/VAPPC and Quality Management Systems. The TSM will also be a deputy for the Site Technical Manager if needed.
- Develop and affect implementation of QMS
- Ensure QMS is in line with Customer?s COP
- Manage training for QAs and Production for the QMS
- Lead 3rd Party Audits
- Lead internal Audits
