This company is now a leader in the independent nursery sector. With an average of over 35,000 website visitors every week, a newly refurbished bricks and mortar store and a growing team of over 20 professionals, they are going places!

The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen and experience of both online and store based retail operations. A strong leader, able to get the best from their team and drive the business across varied functions such as Sales, Operations, Customer Services, Purchasing and Site Facilities. The Operations Manager will identify and act on opportunities, strengths and weaknesses to improve performance and support the company's growth plans. They will be in close communication and a trusted advisor to the Managing Directors.

Main responsibilities

- Monitor and drive sales in the business.
- Support the achievement of business goals and strategic projects
- Set and communicate standards across all aspects of the business
- Identify and act on opportunities as well as weaknesses
- Recruit, develop and retain a team of dedicated professionals
- Identify and react to staff training requirements
- Motivation of your team to achieve their full potential
- Conduct team appraisals and disciplinarians, with external HR support
- Build & maintain excellent supplier relationships
- Maintain effective and informative communication with directors

Requirements:

- At least 3 years in a similar role managing a team
- Proven track record in managing a high turnover business
- Good understanding of E-commerce systems
