Accounts Payable Clerk (Based Hayes)

Salary to £23k + Company Bonus + Benefits + 22 Days Holiday

A leading supplier of specialist medical equipment and products based near Hayes, Middlesex currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client will consider a recent graduate with limited accounts experience (1 year+) as you will be trained and developed within thel accounts process and also look at external courses to develop you.

Its an exciting time to join as they have recently moved to new offices and warehouse and have got great plans to grow the business.


Accounts Payable Clerk (Pharmaceutical Company)

  • Up to £23,000 per annum
  • Permanent position
  • Working in Hayes
  • 35 hours per week 09.30am to 05.30pm (Monday to Friday)
  • 1 hour lunch break
  • 22 days holiday per year

Job Description

  • Input suppliers Invoices/Credit Notes on our system via the PO (Multi Currency)
  • Able to resolve queries between our Purchase Orders and the Suppliers Invoice
  • Paying suppliers by cheque and transfers using Barclays.net
  • Input and allocate payments/discount on to the supplier account
  • Setting up new suppliers, credit check and validate their VAT number
  • Check suggested payments list with the invoices before cheques are printed
  • Reconcile/File Supplier Statements and request copies of missing invoices/Cr Notes
  • Submit Intrastats for EC Purchases to the HMRC monthly
  • Update ongoing spreadsheets for discount, awaiting credits etc
  • Filing invoices / Credit Notes in Due Date and when paid in Company reference order
  • Ad-hoc duties

The Successful Applicant Require

  • At least 1 year’s experience in a Commercial Business working on the Purchase Ledger
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Understanding of debits and credits
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills
  • Time Management skills
  • Excellent Communication/Organisation/PC skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Reliable, Multi Task and have a Professional manner
  • Trustworthy
