Title: Project Manager (Customer Logistics Support Division)
Hours: Fulltime 37.5 hours a week (flexible between 7am-7pm). Core hours of 9am-12pm and 2pm-4pm.
Location: Poole
Salary: Competitive

Our client, an aeronautical company based in Poole, is looking for a Project Manager to join their Customer Logistics Support Division (CLS). The role will provide leadership to the Post Design Support Team ensuring all team activities are resourced, monitored and progressed to meet customer and business needs.

Key duties include but are not limited to:
-Efficiently and effectively manage new and existing contracts to maximise the business potential of company products and services.
- Undertake the overall project and financial management of the Post Design Support (PDS)/In Service Support (ISS) Contracts. With these teams develop standardised documentation and reporting templates for use across all support contracts in the division.
- Ensure the preparation and delivery of technical and commercial documentation are completed in accordance with contract requirements, working with other areas of the company if required.
- Undertaken regular documented reviews of contracts, reporting or presenting the contract progress and adherence to financial estimates.
- Ensure division works within KPIs.
- The collection and submission of all PDS/ISS/ILS bids against customer requirements.
- Effectively manage obsolescence to ensure customers can efficiently operate within the parameters of their Support Contracts.
- In conjunction with business manager, proactively contribute to the winning of new business.
- Consistently seek, explore and implement opportunities for increasing efficiency and cost reduction.
- Champion change initiatives within the Division and the company as a whole.
- Travel with the UK and Overseas, including work/travel outside of normal office hours.

Knowledge and skills required:
- Solid understanding of Project Management and Risk Management.
- Working knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, and associated risks - with the ability to manage those risks.
- Good understanding of business principles including costs and margins.
- Proven experience managing a team and effectively managing Support Contracts.
- Proficient and confident user of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, with advanced knowledge of MS Project.
- Understand the principles of Integrated Logistics Support.
- Exceptional organisation and a thorough approach to work, with a proven ability to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines and work with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to connect and build relationships with individuals at all levels both internal and external to the company.
- Good presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
- Self motivated and an enthusiasm for business improvement/change initiatives.
- Capability of working to own initiative with minimal supervision in a busy office environment.
