On behalf of our client we are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician.

The objective is to support the team, by playing a key role in planning and undertaking scheduled and emergency maintenance of all equipment and facilities on site in addition to general maintenance duties. The position offers a great deal of variety and jobs differ on a day to day basis covering reactive and proactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

·Planningandundertakingpreventativemaintenancetoreducecost,improvequalityandimprove efficiencies through improved and proactive preventative machinerymaintenance

·Analyse reoccurring issues, plan for and take corrective action to make necessary adjustments to maintain maximum production andquality


·Whenpractical,superviseequipmentrunningafterrepairs,changeoversorextendedmaintenanceuntil proper production and quality levels areassured

·Manage maintenance stocks andspares



·Dealing withsub-contractors

·Maintains company-required maintenancerecords


·Support departmental heads in HSE & 5S improvementinitiatives.

·Notify supervisor or Manager of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or suppliesneeded


·Theaboveisanon-exhaustivelistofduties,andyouareexpectedtoundertakeanyotherduties asreasonablyrequestedbyyourSupervisor&orManager

Skills and experience:

·Work well underpressure

·Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenancerole


·Be able to work on your own initiative. Proactive approach to day to dayworkload


·KnowledgeofCNCmachining,BasicIndustrialElectricity,AC&DCdrivesandPLCsystemsan advantage

·A BEng in Electrical Engineering, 17th Edition Electrical qualification, HNC or ONC in Mechanical Engineering or time servedapprenticeship

·Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools for communication and reporting
