We are actively seeking for IT professionals with an understanding of technical solutions and clear passion for problem solving, to join our Solutions Department based at our Head Office in Bridgend.

You will be responsible for developing technical solutions to our clients, across a variety of disciplines including Virtualisation, High Availability Hosting, Managed Services, Advanced Continuity Solutions, Security, Remote Working and Telecommunications.

We support a broad range of clients and their IT infrastructure. Therefore, our technical staff need to be multi-skilled, flexible and focused on delivering our clients the highest quality of service.

Whilst we are interested in your existing knowledge, RockIT also value continued learning and we can support this in a number of ways. We will teach you about our industry leading products and solutions, and will give you the opportunity to take on fully funded Microsoft qualifications to improve upon your knowledge and expertise.

Although in-depth training will be provided, you will be required to have at least one year's technical experience and will be able to perform a variety of architectural roles, from defining Enterprise-level IT strategies, through to single system solution design and software product selection.

Occasional site visits are required and therefore you are required to hold a full and valid UK driving licence.

You will be responsible for

  • Carrying out on-site and remote audits of client infrastructures in order to identify critical performance and security issues

  • Using a variety of tools available to you, to create a detailed and accurate solution documentation, within strict timescales whilst meeting the client's technical and business requirements

  • Utilising all aspects of the IT Market to provide enterprise level hardware, software, hosted and telecoms solutions

  • Overseeing and assisting Account Managers with small to medium pre-sales and ensure technical accuracy in the solutions provided

  • Assist other departments with Sales and Technical support where required

  • Providing solutions to failed PCI Compliance audits carried out by 3rd parties

  • On-site auditing and scoping of client office moves, meeting and liaising with contractors where required

  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of technology and market trends within the IT industry. Also assisting in product development and bringing new products to market frequently.
