Clinical Lead Night Nurse - Nursing Home - Peterlee, County Durham - £16.50/hr, £33,000/annum

A fantastic, well known group are seeking a clinical lead nurse to join their team on nights. They are a leading provider of care and support services to older people in need of nursing, dementia care, respite, palliative or end of life care as well as learning disability and neurology services.

This clinical lead position is with their nursing home service in Peterlee. The home provides nursing services to those with complex care needs, dementia, physical disabilities and to the elderly frail. The home specialises within dementia care and has a specialist complex dementia unit. Working on nights you will lead the team as part of the senior management team, supporting both sides of the nursing team. Clinical audits and training will be a responsibility of the clinical lead and so strong communication skills will be necessary.

The Requirements as a Clinical Lead

  • Registered Nurse - RGN/RMN
  • Valid NMC PIN with no restrictions
  • Senior experience within a nursing/care home environment
  • Passion for nursing and delivering high quality care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The Responsibilities as a Clinical Lead

  • Provide care for the residents on a daily basis undertaking direct nursing and general care, as required, including periods on night duty if necessary
  • Contribute positively to the setting and development of measurable standards of care relevant to the speciality
  • Responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care programmes
  • Contribute to the professional development of trained staff
