The school is a high performing Secondary School based outside Trowbridge, which is well-respected and is complimented on it's outstanding behaviour. Examination results have been strong over the last few years, and you will have a supportive Business and ICT department.
Your new role
The school are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher of Business Studies to join a large and successful department. Business Studies enjoys a strong reputation at the school and is a popular choice at GCSE and A Level. The ability to teach ICT and Computing is desirable but not essential. This position would suit either an NQT or an experienced teacher. The role is a part-time Maternity Cover.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a secondary Business Studies teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or have relevant teaching experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manner at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to TAs and other people in the school.
