Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

This is a temporary position, based in Wythenshawe, Manchester, offers an excellent opportunity to be involved in all aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis, across a range of regions within the EMEAC division. Reporting to and working closely with the FP&A Manager EMEAC, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, an effective communicator and have a strong awareness of the key values required to work within a small multi-location team.

Key duties are shown below, some or all of these could be required during the contract term:

  • Support the International FP&A team with:
    • Preparation and distribution of all reports reporting packages to agreed timetable
    • Detailed analysis of revenue performance and growth, including ASP and unit trends
    • Preparation and analysis of P&L reports to agreed timetable
    • Detailed analysis of operating expense variances
    Track and analyse key leading indicators and performance metrics Support the team with the preparation of business review presentations – PowerPoint slides showing graphs, trends etc. Liaise with other functions and departments to drive understanding of business performanceAd-hoc reporting, analysis and decision support as neededAssist with improvements to Hyperion Planning and Essbase systems and processes Other duties as reasonably expected with the positionThe successful candidate will be able manage and prioritise their own workload, possess excellent organisational ability and be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the business. An essential element of this role is the ability to quickly establish and maintain excellent working relationships.

    This role requires an individual with a pro-active attitude who is keen to add value and demonstrate flexibility when dealing with several areas of work running concurrently; this is a hands-on role that requires a detail-orientated approach combined with the ability to see the ‘big picture’.

    This is a key supporting role within the team and will suit an individual who enjoys working under pressure and to a consistently high standard;


    • Studying towards recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) with 1-3 years experience in multinational Organisation – preferably FP&A department
    • A good working knowledge of Oracle and associated applications would be an advantage
    • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
    • Hyperion and Essbase experience would be an advantage
