Job Title - SAP Support Consultant / Applications Analyst Location - Sunderland / Leicester / London Salary - £45,000 My client is now one of the leading transport operators in Europe with their foundation firmly set in Sunderland and a history spanning nearly 80 years. As a result of a strategic restructuring, the business is now in a position of needing recruit an SAP 2nd line Support Consultant / Applications Analyst to strengthen their team. Main purpose of the position - You will be responsible for delivery of a comprehensive 2nd line support across the Group operating on a shift model. - You will champion great customer experience in accordance with the business values. - You will have demonstrable success already within IT Operations or an application support team. - You will use system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistic and carry out agreed application maintenance tasks as previously defined. - You will be required to work as part of a 24 x 7 x 365 on call rota. Direct responsibilities - You will manage application enhancements to improve business performance. - You will ensure that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures. - You will ensure all daily tasks are completed as required. - You will drive for issue prevention by employing root-cause analysis, issue tracking, trend analysis and status reporting. - You will collate weekly and monthly performance information and provide reports and proposals for improvement, to specialists, users and managers. - You will collaborate in reviews of specifications, with others as appropriate. - You will manage ad hoc projects and be familiar with project implementation. - You will represent the operations team in internal projects. - You will assist resolving customer and project issues. - You will anticipate, identify, and assess complex issues/problems. Knowledge, skills and experience - Preferably ITIL foundation qualification or equivalent. - Experienced 2nd line IT support team member. - Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a reactive high-pressure environment. - Confident and excellent communicator at all levels. - Self-motivated and directed. - Demonstrated the ability to lead by example. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good analytical and reporting skills. - Extensively experienced with ERP, SAP and / or Oracle etc. - Able to organise time and tasks effectively. - Very good interpersonal skills.
