DW3 - Equipment Maintenance EngineerLocation: Near OxfordSalary: £28000-£32000Overview:Ex-Military candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for this role, but all candidates will be considered.40 Hours per week An international specialist in environmental engineering is seeking an experienced and innovative engineer for a career with a small friendly team, providing an opportunity to contribute to a wide range of exciting global projects. We hold a fleet of advanced surveying equipment which must be maintained in a state of readiness to ensure high-quality data collection. You will ideally have a working knowledge of a wide range of metric instrumentation and will be primarily responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, test and calibration of this apparatus. Your workload will be varied and challenging, and this will require a candidate with a similarly diverse range of competencies, skills and attributes. Your duties may require you to travel both within the UK and Worldwide.Key Responsibilities:* Testing and calibrating (if appropriate) equipment to conformance standards* Preventative maintenance and routine servicing of equipment* Diagnosing and repairing faulty equipment, or recommending replacements, in consultation with colleagues and suppliers as necessary* Deploying to site location to effect the above tasks if required* Reviewing and seeking to continually improve existing processes, protocols and tools* Instructing and training staff in specific technical areas* Maintaining appropriate records, preparing written technical instructions and procedures* Employing soldering, hand and power tools as required* Basic warehousing and accountancy of equipmentSkills and Experience:* HNC or Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience* Systematic and competent diagnostics methodology* Experience in the use and maintenance of measuring equipment would be highly advantageous* UK driving licence and valid passport* IT literatePersonal Qualities:* Must have strong English/communication skills (verbal and written).* Flexible, proactive and adaptable to meet unexpected demands with tight time constraints* Able to work calmly and with integrity in teams under pressure* A finely tuned sense of curiosity and an innovative spirit will be essential for this role.DW3 - Equipment Maintenance EngineerLocation: Near OxfordSalary: £28000-£32000
